BDA is set to allot 5000 sites in Phase 1 in Dr.K.Shivaram Karath Nagar at Avalahalli.The impasse is likely to be over as the High Court has now permitted BDA to allot developed land as compensation to land losers at 9555 sq.ft per every acre lost by the farmer.After the allotment to the land losers BDA shall seek permission from the High Court to allot sites to the public.
The affected land losers are also demanding 10% of the compensation in the form of commercial site to help them find a livelihood.
In addition,land losers also have demanded seeking allotment in the the ratio of 50:50 in place of 60:40(Currently they are eligible for 40% of total area in 60:40(Public:Farmers) ratio.
